I recommend that we all look after our complexion from the earliest possible time to promote beautiful skin. Moisturizing face, neck, hands and body will undoubtedly enable us to have a much better canvas from which to work. Try to begin in the early 20's by being aware that what we do now will reflect in the years to come. In the same way that we look after our inner organs by eating well and exercising, so we must remember that the skin is the largest organ and needs care in the same way. From our 30's we should be looking to have regular facials, clearing dead skin cells and enabling circulation, which in turn helps the skin to repair itself than if left ignored. Use good quality sunscreen, too. Less makeup will be needed if your skin is fabulous.

Also, stop smoking! The effect it has on skin, as well as the rest of the body is terrible, and a makeup artist instantly knows a smoker by the quality of his or her skin. Usual indications are a more leathery texture, wrinkles around the mouth from pulling on the cigarette, and also a higher concentration of oil.  While I realize that models smoke and still look fabulous on magazine covers, the general public does not have Photoshop permanently available at our fingertips for retouching those lines or Mario Testino to photograph us with the best light!
